long drives

I am playing along with pip’s words and pictures - this week it’s a long drive

Gone are the bell street days – we now have links for the city and beeping grey boxes

Best stop at malmsbury bakery for one of those mean mcmean sausage rolls

Through tiny weeny taradale

Flick, flick for a new radio station

Some apples at Harcourt – remember to get the “no fruit fly” sticker

Mustn’t miss that turn off before bendigo

These days we stop just the other side of marong – I miss you

Bridgewater on Loddon where I’m sure cafés used to masquerade as pubs but they must have gotten help, Inglewood and the blue eucy

Sometimes the wedderburn oppie is worth a quick browse and the playground for a run-around.

For some reason my Dad wanted to spend a new years in Berriwillock – maybe he called it half way

Must be time to check out the Charlton comfort station – do you need to fill up?

Did you know catholics don’t eat ham on good Friday?

Watch for the cops at wycheproof.  Does anyone still climb that mountain with a sack on their back?

Dry dry dry to the lake with no sea but tigers during winter.  HOT HOT coffee, slides and a stretch

A small town with a large lamington and a visit to the Queen Bee – she’ll satisfy hungry bus loads, or quench the thirst of your kid or your car.  Does she still have crunchas?  Can’t leave out batman and robin at the pub

One day I will take the turnoff to Hattah

Any fruit? Leave it in the fruit bat bin

Do you know Colignan is Nangiloc spelled backwards?

No more coat of many colours, my turn to choose the tunes

Past the big radio tower, nearly there

You’ll meet a few mallee boys and girls if you turn left to werrimull

There’s Big Lizzy

How do you say Irymple?  Wow, that’s a big orange

What’s in the fridge?
