phew…

no, its not a ghost, I really do exist. What a busy time it’s been - starting school, kinder, house re-org, a few other new babies, getting to know Tex - I actually got to have a cup of tea this morning. Tex is kicking goals and is already 4 cm taller than the other two were at the same age…so easy to loose time - espeially now he’s smiling and shmoozing us… In the middle of a carnivale costume - you know the one, skimpy glittery bikini with big feathers on my head….I wish. Not quite - will take some pics and potentially get around to loading them on… in the meantime, i will try to get to qv this weekend - check out their summer series here - i know the parks are packed with summer fun - let me know if you have tried qv and its shite.

What’s japanese for Grrrr??
A while back one of the little ladies choose some fabric and I had a go at my first japanese craft book pattern. The sleeves were a bit tricky but I’m pretty happy with the result:

To Market To Market
Wow, it’s over. Yep, I did a market. I was skeptical but it totally exceeded my expectations. I had fun, thanks to Threadden, all the lovely visitors, known and new. And of course BIG Thanks if you bought something. Fabo. Thanks to my Market Mentor for her furniture and Kimmy for her most excellent and appreciated rack (i know, another rack joke - i still find it funny).

I got a knot
I haven’t had one for so long I forgot how to spell it. Taking ages but it was an exciting milestone to find one in my hair.

How to make a Sequin Tiara - Charleston style

I have been making a few of these for gifts. We had a mass production session recently. They are sooo fun (as in the tiaras, not the 5 hours of sewing with kids pestering you - although 5 hours of sewing would be fun if you had someone else to manage each and every want 7 children can come up with). It was actually a lovely day - an almost guilty pleasure hanging out for the whole day - kids and all. You can’t do that often or with just anyone.
Follow this link to my attempt at a tutorial - Sequin Tiara - and make one for yourself - or for someone who you think would appreciate some party headwear. Go on - “HAVE A CRACK!!”

morning tea and humpty lumpty
I was lucky enough to have a cuppa on Friday with lots of lovely ladies at Nikki’s morning tea. Bloody great to meet some bloggers in person. To be honest lately I have done more real-life crafty catch ups than the online variety so it was very special to meet some new people and be inspired to trawl around in cyberland. See you all there.
And here is Humpty Lumpty - this is the name the girls have decided on for this little one until they get here in december

They came with us to the scan and they are very excited. We are now almost 16 weeks and my belly is getting lots of attention.
